Why are Suffolk sheep one of the best ? / Pourquoi le Suffolk ?

Suffolk sheep have a superior meat to bone ratio.

They grow relatively quickly compared to other breeds,so eat comparatively less to produce more meat, quicker.

Given good feed they can be up to killing weight within 3-4 months.

The meat is low in fat ,but 'marbled' within to give a superior flavour.

They are longer in the back /  loins than some other breeds giving more 'chops'.

They have a well developed 'quarters' giving a good 'leg' and 'saddle' joint.

Added to this, they are a relatively 'Calm' sheep, and easy to handle.

And of course they are beautiful to look at !!
